Soul Slappy's digital art commissions
STATUS:
CLOSED for now!
Hello! I'm an Australian digital artist that creates wild, colourful works inspired by cartoons, manga and video games. I've been offering my services for a number of years now, and I've found it an enriching experience that's helped me find a distinct direction for my style to head in. So, feel free to take a look at my examples below and let me know if you're interested in starting something!
EXAMPLES (with price estimates)
PLEASE NOTE: The final price of the commission will factor in the complexity of the subject matter. The more detailed the project is, the more it will cost.
Sketch Page
($25+ USD)
The quickest and simplest option! An A5 page of 4 black and white/monochrome doodles, for those who just want some quick drawings and explorations of an idea.
MODIFIERS
+$5 per additional figure/bust
+$10 full colour
Character Pinup
Bust ($40+ USD)
Half Body ($50+ USD)
Full Body ($60+ USD)
The most varied option! A coloured illustration of a single character, perfect for those looking for a new icon, phone background or a reference pic.
MODIFIERS
+$15 per extra variant (e.g. alternate outfits, expressions, seasonal versions, etc.)
+$20 per extra character
+$20 Detailed background
Illustrated Artwork
($80+ USD)
The most detailed option! A large scene with a full background, making it a great choice for desktop wallpapers, social media banners and video thumbnails.
MODIFIERS
+$20 per extra character
+$20 CMYK (print) version
If there's something else you'd like me to work on that doesn't fit any of these options, let's discuss it! In addition to character focused artwork, I've also made Comic Pages, Album Covers, Wall Posters & Logo Designs for clients in the past.

-All payment will be done through PayPal and PayPal ONLY. I will send you an invoice after discussing what's to be drawn, the price it'll cost overall and after a few proof of concept sketches have been drawn.-Strictly ONE project (i.e. sketch page, character pin up, illustration etc.) per client, per opening. I am only a single person, with only so much time and effort to dedicate towards the passion of art, and as such can only take on so much work before I become overwhelmed and burnt out. I am able to discuss which project you would like to go with, but it is highly recommended that you make the decision before approaching me.-The commission will be drawn in my own particular style, so please take the time to consider whether my cartoony, colourful approach to things is suitable for your request. If you still aren't sure, feel free to ask and I can clarify or negotiate.-I ultimately have the right to refuse a commission, no matter what, so if your request is declined, please accept the decision and move on.-I will add an 'extra detail' charge to the commission depending on how complex the request is (eg. intricate armour/machinery, fully rendered background scenes, etc). We will discuss this during the initial drafting process and am willing to make compromises.-Please be definite in regards to the basic subject matter of the commission before initiating a request. There will be a surcharge if the project is scrapped for another idea mid production (accounting for the time spent working on the original one), or if any sudden, spontaneous additions are requested that deviate too far from the initial plan.-If possible, please provide some form of reference material. I can work blind, but any form of direction is better than nothing at all.-Sketch Pages are intended to be quickly produced and as such, I will only allow a single opportunity to discuss edits and tweaks, usually when the page has been filled and the layout has been decided. Please take the time to look things over then, as I will not be doing further edits without compensation. This rule only applies to Sketch Pages, however, due to the complex nature of my other services.-With all other projects, I will be sending you regular WIPs (i.e 'work in progress' artwork) for feedback. Please be sure to respond, as I won't continue work on it otherwise. Also, feel free to ask for a WIP at any point, though do note that I take Fridays and Sundays (AEST) as my days off.-Please refrain from posting WIPs outside of our correspondence unless I've given my consent. Feel free to share anything once the final artwork is complete, but until then, I'm not exactly comfortable with others (whether it be on social media, discord servers or otherwise) seeing an ongoing work in progress.-While I'm not against working with multiple people on a single project, do know that I value the opinion of the person who paid for it above all else.-As a perfectionist, I'm unlikely to finish work until the piece meets my standards. If you feel, at any point, that you're happy with how it looks and feel that it's good enough to call finished, please let me know and I will wrap up production then and there.-Once I've finished work on the project, I will send you a .zip folder containing high quality PNGs of the final artwork(s), as well as the source CSP file and every related WIP and draft image available. If you plan on uploading or using the artwork for anything, I recommend waiting until I send this to you.-When the commission is done, I plan to publish it onto my social media platforms and/or use it in a portfolio. Do let me know if you'd like to post it instead, or if you'd like to keep it an anonymous commission.-After the project has been declared finished, I will allow a one week grace period to further continue work on the artwork, either to correct a mistake caught after completion and/or any additional desired additions and touch ups. Otherwise, for my own peace of mind, I will consider it finished and move on to other projects.-If the commission has to be cancelled for any reason, I'm happy to negotiate a partial or full refund, depending on how far along the project has progressed.-If I am closed, it is because I'm busy wrapping up outstanding commissions, working on my own projects or taking a break from art in general. I can let you know a general estimate of when things will open up again, but otherwise, Please do not try and discuss a project with me until I am ready to take it on. The 'STATUS' bar at the top of the page, as well as my various social media pages below, will let you know when I'm open again, so please be patient in the mean time.
